Charles I (1625 ‑1649), AR Halfcrown, 14.68gm., Tower Mint, group III, third style horseman ‑ type 3a2 ‑ horse with no caparisons, king with sword upright and narrow cloak flying from shoulders, rev. oval garnished arms, no CR. Mintmark triangle ‑ 1639‑40. (cf Brooker 349; N.2211; S.2775). Obv. a little weak, almost Very Fine, rev. strongly struck.
