Charles I (1625 ‑1649), AR Halfcrown, 15.35gm., Tower Mint, group III, third style horseman ‑ type 3a2 ‑ horse with no caparisons standing on rough ground, king with sword upright and rounded cloak flying from shoulders, rev. oval garnished arms, no CR. Mintmark triangle ‑ 1639‑40. (cf Brooker 352; N.2212; S.2776). Very Fine, obv. a little double struck, rev. strongly struck.
