Very fine close to large four margin right hand marginal horizontal pair printed on white wove paper watermarked small crown (Sideways) in blue cancelled by a black Maltese Crosses. Each stamp with an 11mm central horizontal razor cut which are believed to relate to abrading experiments reported on 17th September by Rowland Hill to Sir Francis Baring. Very rare. Ex Tes & Rowse.
