1840 1d Mulready envelope Forme 3 Stereo A157. Very fine used example sent from Monmouth to Evesham, redirected to Tewkesbury, neatly cancelled by a black MC., Uprated with an additional 1d red brown Pl.30 lettered NE, cancelled by a black MC and endorsed "paid 1d". Backstamped by a Monmouth dispatch cds for NO.16.1843 , two deep blue Evesham datestamps for arrival and redirection on NO.17.1843 and a Tewksesbury arrival datestamp for the following day. A scarce uprated franking. 2014 BPA Cert. Spec. ME2b.
