1856 1d Red-brown Pl.28. Very fine envelope sent from Sandyford, Glasgow to Paisley bearing a 1d red-brown Pl.28 (SG 29) lettered FG, neatly tied by a crisp black, boxed "SANDYFORD" Scots local cancellation (Type VIII). Backstamped by a black Glasgow dispatch cds for SE.26.1856, and a green Paisley arrival cds for the same day. Alcock scarcity rating E. Ex. "Claymore".
