1840 2d Mulready Lettersheet (Forme 1, Stereo a104). Fine used example sent from London to Upton on Severn bearing an additional three margin 1d red-brown Pl.148 paying a "late fee" charge and cancelled by a London City "10" numeral. The Mulready unusually left uncancelled in London but cancelled in transit with a black Worcester "918" numeral. Backstamped in London, Worcester & Upton on Severn for DE.29-30.1852. Peripheral faults and light overall toning, nevertheless an extremely unusual and rare combination franking of fine appearance. Ex. Mayflower. 1998 BPA Cert. Spec ME3. Cat £32,500
