Description
1880-1960 mint and used collection (hundreds) on leaves from SG printed album, with many stamps occupying the facing pages. Contains many better stamps, but much is affected by foxing and toning. We note line-engraved with ½d Plates 12 and 15 used, 1d Plate 181 small part o.g. and sound used, Plate 220 used (brown gum, which could be removed), ½d on 1d Type 3 seven plates mint or unused, Type 4 both plates, Type 5 Plate 215 double surcharge (fault at top right), 30pa on 1d the four plates, 1881 Die I set, faults, the 6p no gum, SG 24 no gum (slight staining on reverse, cat £1600), various '½' surcharges. Thereafter a good run-through with many highly-catalogued stamps; SG 36 used (thinned), 1924 to £1 o.g. (the £1 fine), 1928 Anniversary set o.g. (2, toned); later material disregarded due to toning.
