Germany - Prussia – The Order of the Red Eagle, 4th Class, awarded to George William Newall Esq. in October 1908. in October 1908, in box and card box of issue, very fine (1).
Sold with Original German Award Certificate, dated the 23rd of September 1908, and a letter dated 28th of November 1908 from the General‑Konsulat des Deutschen Reiches für Grossbritannien U. Irland, stating:
‘Reference II 10042
Dear Sir,
With reference to the Order of the Red Eagle conferred upon you in October last, I now beg to forward the certificate issued by the General Commission of Prussian Orders in Berlin.’
With envelope for the certificate addressed to ‑ George William Newall, Esq. 2+3 West Street, Finsbury Circus E.C. The envelop showing the Reference No II 10042.
George William Newel was a Solicitor, it would appear, for German clients, a Partner in Goldberg, Barrett and Newall of 2 & 3 West Street, Finsbury Circus E.C.
