The Scinde Medal awarded to George Holden, 22nd Regiment comprising Scinde Medal 1843, Reverse Meeanee, Hyderabad 1843, (George Holden. 22nd Regt.) fitted with replacement silver clip and silver straight bar suspension very fine (1)

George Holden enlisted into the 22nd Regiment on the 16th of May 1840 at Halifax, his hometown, he was a 19-year-old shoemaker. He Served in the East Indies, Malta and Home, his paper just can be made out to see served at Meeanee and Hyderabad, but this is hard to decipher. He was awarded the Army Long Service and Good Conduct Medal with a £5 gratuity in 1858.
