Field Marshall Paul Von Hindenburg (1847-1934) Autographed letter dated “Magdeburg 15th September 1903” signed “V. Hindenburg”, 1 page 5.5 x 8.5 inches Mailing fold, some stains from not dried ink, otherwise fine (1)
Field Marshal and Germany’s greatest military hero of World War I, served as president under the Weimar government from 1925 to 1933. He hated the Nazis, but when they won a majority in the Reichstag in 1933, he was forced to appoint Hitler as chancellor. When he died, Hitler made himself president of Germany.
