J. Wharton. Cheshire Regt.), King’s South Africa Medal, 2 Clasps, South Africa 1901, South Africa 1902, (5628 Corpl: J. A. Wharton. Cheshire Regt.), both impressed naming, 1914-1920 British War Medal, (5628 C. Sjt. J. A. Wharton. Ches. R.), Army Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, GVR. (C.S. Instr. J. A. Wharton. F.C. Vol. Rifles.) named in running script to Europeans in the Indian Army, Meritorious Service Medal, GVR, (17202 C. Sjt. J.A. Wharton. 1/York. R.), all toned very fine (5)
