<p>1929 (28 May) De La Rue Composite Photographic tender essay, the central bromide&nbsp;a portrait of KGV facing right wearing the Tudor crown, with frame hand painted in purple and Chinese white, the lower plate reading ‘REVENUE’ and denominated 3s, set in sunken frame (102x120mm) dated ‘28th MAY 1929’ at upper right with violet company hs on reverse. An exquisitely detailed and beautiful record of this unsuccessful proposal, the Contract eventually being awarded to Bradbury Wilkinson for what became the 1931 revenue issue.&nbsp;</p>
