South West Africa. Tribal Taxes. Ombalantu. A pair of Registration Cards, one marked "Duplicate" on face and "Duty Paid up to end 1950" on reverse with 1931 postage 2d blue and brown bilingual pair with surcharged "Ombalantu / 5/-" with diamonds over the original value and two types of the "bent top of the vertical stroke of 5/-" variety together with another heavily cancelled variety, the second card franked with three 1939 ½d black and green with large 5/- over the tribal name and three 1931 postage 2d blue and brown with diamonds over the value, two of the stamps with the "bent top of the vertical stroke of 5/-" variety. A total of seven cards from this small tribe are known
