QEII Unappropriated Dies Revenue. 1958 complete set of TWENTY SEVEN Royal Mint die proofs across three pages, of all values from 1d-£5 each with manuscript annotations and date of completion for each die (£1.2.6d not included), the project endorsed ‘Modified stamp frames with new QE effigy’ Showing the dies were amended from the preceding reign. Each complete proof, is handstamped 'CANCELLED' in violet. A unique and impressive assembly of the highest importance- this design the basis of some of the rarest Great Britain revenue stamps issued. A wonderful opportunity! These pages from the volume presented to the Royal Mint Engraver H.A. Richardson on his retirement. Also includes a George VI Head Die proof handstamped 'CANCELLED' in red, affixed to reverse of page 7.
