Description
A superb and valuable exhibition collection in two volumes to 1951, commences with a selection of pre-stamp covers and entires incl several with the three-line ‘De GIBR / S. ROQUE / ANDA BAXA’ h/s, an 1855 unpaid wrapper to Cadiz with both British and Spanish rate markings and a couple of covers to Spain franked by Spanish stamps, then a very useful range of GB used in with values to 1s (many with selected strikes) and a few covers, followed by a substantially complete run of unused (some unmounted) from 1886 incl the 1886 opt set to 1s, 1903 set to £1, 1904-08 set to £1, and 1925-32 £5 plus a good range of used, also a small range of postal stationery (mostly used) and postal history, condition varies, still an exceptional lot which is well worth close inspection.
