<p>1840 1d Mulready lettersheet, Forme 2 Stereo A16, from Stockport to London. &nbsp;Uprated with a 1d black Plate 1a, lettered IA, four fine margins and tied with a red MC. &nbsp;Britannia not cancelled, contrary to regulations; the letter mentions an enclosure - it was still underpaid, and endorsed ‘2d more to pay’ in manuscript. &nbsp;Stockport despatch of JU 7 1840 on reverse and London arrival of the next day. &nbsp;Filing folds, still fine and a really good example of an uprated Mulready; BPA Certificate (2008). &nbsp;SG ME 1, 2&nbsp;</p>
