Description
1841-76 line-engraved collection on leaves, themed about check letters RF; every stamp (except when multiples are involved) has this lettering. Just a few imperfs but of good quality, early perforated with some plated; a few covers; Plate numbers with a few mint including Plate 216 inverted watermark pair, large part o.g. Accompanied by a plated imperforate run-through of (nearly all) four-margined RF examples from plates 12 to 172, some duplicated, with 26 plates missing, a remarkable achievement considering that they all have the same lettering! Includes C1-12 group with C1 Plate 163, and other better plates - Followed by perforated plates, mostly identified. Impressive; generally fine
