1830s-1930s postal history collection, comprising of mostly incoming mail from England, well researched and mounted on exhibition pages, including: 1837 pre-stamp entire letter from Newfoundland to Leicester, rated at 1/6 and marked Liverpool Ship Letter boxed h/s, 1851 pre-stamp cover from Quebec with paid 3d h/s, incoming covers from England, franked by Line Engraved and surface printed issues, showing the various rates, with mourning cover from Glasgow, 1884 registered envelope franked by 1884 2½d, 1871 1d pink postal stationery envelope uprated by 1d rose-red pair, marked insufficiently stamped, underpaying the rate of 6d by 3d! 1862 cover franked by 2d blue (3) endorsed via ‘Trinity’, generally fair to fine condition and interesting lot.
