1840 1d Mulready lettersheet (Forme 1, Stereo A8). &nbsp;Used example sent from Reading to London, cancelled by two black MCs; redirected to Brighton with a four-margined 1d red-brown, Plate 18 pre-paying the additional postage, cancelled by a black MC and a red ‘Maltese Cross’ London datestamp (RL Type 36). &nbsp;The reverse with Reading, London and Brighton datestamps for JA 17-18 1842. &nbsp;Vertical crease at right, and some scuffing at base, still an attractive and rare franking. 1998 BPA Certificate.
