This sale brings together a broad and well-balanced selection of stamps and covers from around the world, with material to suit collectors at all levels. There is a strong showing of postal history, and a pleasing mix of individual rarities and substantial specialist ranges. The auction will take place on 10 February 2026, commencing at 10.30am (GMT), in our auction room at 399 Strand and online.One of the most notable parts of this catalogue is the fascinating offerings in the Brazil section, which is particularly strong and deserves close attention. The early classic issues are very well represented, with a fine range of Bull’s Eyes including complete sets and multiples, such as the clear impression set (lot 2076) and the impressive 90r horizontal pair (lot 2078). These are complemented by an excellent showing of Slanting Figures, as well as Upright and Vertical Numerals. The section is further enhanced by a notable selection of Zeppelin and early airmail material, including rare airmail covers and destination mail (lots 2140–2152), and an appealing range of proofs, essays and specialised accumulations. A valuable collection in stockbook to 1900 with strength in the Pence issues, commencing with 1857 6d used (2) plus plate proof strip of 3, then 1857-59 values including 8d (RPS Certificate) and 9d used and several unused including 5d, 10d and 1s9d (2), 1861-64 to 2s used including shades plus 4d clean-cut perfs and 6d deep brown rough perf unused (also 2s clean-cut perfs, but reperfed and regummed), similar ranges of 1863-65 and 1867-70 issues to 2s noting 1863-66 5d watermark inverted and reversed, 4d rose, 5d watermark reversed (RPS Certificate) all unused and 1867-70 2d block of 4 unused, and 1866-68 3d stamp-size die proof, then various later including 1872-80 16c and 64c die proofs and unused set to 96c plus various surcharge issues including 1885 5c on 64c surcharge double (RPS Certificate) and 28c on 48c surcharge double (BPA Certificate) used, also small range of postal history, very mixed condition throughout though with useful duplication, close inspection strongly recommended.
