1867 (22 Nov) cover from Singapore to Switzerland, “Rikli” correspondence, endorsed “Per P&O Str Via Marseilles” and franked by 8c on 2a yellow strip of three and a pair, all pre-cancelled by light firm's chop and clearly tied by “B-172” octagons, the face additionally showing unframed “PD” h/s with “SINGAPORE / P.O.” despatch and various transit and arrival datestamps on reverse. Minor creasing affects two of the adhesives, nevertheless a fine and very rare franking. Ex Spink Singapore (24 Jun 2000, lot 206).
