1903 (16 Apr- 4 May) set of four stamp-size die proofs for the 1903-04 issue in black on glazed card, on individual pieces (55 x 55mm) from the De La Rue day book with manuscript date and endorsement ‘240 leads + 6 extra’, and further dated in red ‘May 18th 03’ (indicating the invoice date). A unique and highly important quartet.
