1841 1d Red-brown Pl.77. “B Blank” & 77B “B Blank Corrected”. Used matched pair both cancelled by a numeral cancellation well clear of bottom right hand corner square. When plate 77 was laid down the stamp “BA” had the “A” omitted, the “A” was added at a later date to correct the error. It can be found in both states but the “B Blank” state is very rare. Spec. BS66a&b. Cat £23,500.
