Description
mm: anchor (inverted) both sides (1499‑1502). Crowned facing bust within tressure, crown with one plain and one jewelled arch, saltire stops, rev. Long cross with trio of pellets in each quarter, broken letters very untidily punched, saltire stops, (Potter & Winstanley IIIC, 6; Stewartby p. 436, IIIC (iv); N 1705(c); S 2199). Good Very Fine or better, toned, with a small striking crack at 10 o’ clock.
