Description
The 1914-15 Star Trio awarded to Private Edward Henry Washburn 3rd Battalion The Cheshire Regiment admitted to 42nd Casualty Clearing Station on the 22nd of May 1916 with a Gun Shot Wound to his Back. This was further diagnosed in Hospital as Gun Shot Wounds Back, Buttock, Shoulder and Ear comprising 1914/15 Star, (13191 Pte E.H. Washburn. Ches: R.), 1914-1920 British War and Victory Medals, (13191 Pte. E.H. Washburn. Ches. R.), toned fine (3)
Edward Henry Washburn joined the 3rd Battalion The Cheshire Regiment on the 1st of September 1914 he landed in France on the 26th of September 1915. He was Badly wounded on the 22nd of May 1916.He Was Discharged No Longer Physically Fit for Military Service on the 30th of September 1916 receiving Silver War Badge 26718. He Died in 1951 leaving his Widow, Florence, to receive his Pension.
