The Royal Naval Long Service and Good Conduct Medal Awarded to Leading Stoker Thomas Richards H.M.S. Achillies comprising Royal Naval Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, QVR, Engraved Naming 1875-77, (Ths Richards Leadg Stokr H.M.S. Achillies), very fine (1)
Thomas Richards was bon in Newbridge, Glamorgan on the 14th of March 1839 he joined the Royal Navy on the 1st of May 1860 for 10 years, he extended his Service to complete another 10 years on the 1st of May 1870. He served aboard H.M.S. Achillies from the 20th of July1873 to the 31st of March 1875. He was Pensioned to Shore on the 29th of February 1880 after serving 19 years 324 days serving aboard some 16 vessels.
