1857-1870s well written-up old time mixed mint and used collection, including 1857 6d purple-brown on blued (4), 1857-79 Wmk star types to 2/- with 2d plate proof pair in black, 2d green mint singles and pairs, 4d dull rose (repaired and rebacked), 1857-64 imperf ½d dull mauve used singles and pair, perf 12½ 1861-64 clean up/ intermediate perf types to 1/- and rough perf types to 2/- with 1/9d light green, prepared for use but not issued (SG 36 cat £750) 1863-66 wmk type 5 1d deep blue in left-hand marginal block of four, 1863-66 perf 12½ 2d grey-green in block of four with trace of 'CR' from Crown Colonies wmk 1867-70 wmk type 6 range with some of the listed shades represented, 2d ochre in block of four, 2d bistre in block of four with wmk inverted, 4d rose-carmine in block of four, 5d bronze-green in block of four, 6d red-brown in block of six, 8d chocolate mint pair, 9d bistre-brown, 9d blackish brown in block of four, 1/- reddish violet in block of four, 2/- deep blue horizontal strip of four, some postal history. Officials; 1869 set to 3d carmine-rose with 2/- deep blue, generally fair to fine condition, careful viewing sure to reward for these classic stamps.
