1872-1900 QV ‘Cents’ well written-up old time collection, including 1872 2c, 4c,8c, 16c, 24c, 36c, 48c & 96c imperf proofs optd ‘CANCELLED’ prepared by DLR for the South Kensington Exhibition, 96c imperf imprimatur, 2c pale brown wmk inverted, with used examples with noted postmarks, perf 14x12½ type with 8c orange-yellow (2) on piece with 4c rosy mauve, 1879 2r50 dull rose, 1883-98 wmk CA values, 1885 surcharges to 1r12 on 2r50, type 25,26 and 27 surcharges, 1886 values to 28c 25c yellow-brown with variety value in yellow (SG 198a cat £160), 1888-90 type 34 and 35 surcharges with noted surcharge varieties including doubles, shifts and inverted, Postal Commission optd issues (see Part I footnote after SG 211), 1890 type 36 surcharge with 5c on 15c olive-green surcharge inverted, ‘FIve' for ‘Five’, inverted ‘S’ in ‘Cents’ and ‘Revenue’ omitted, 1892 3c on 28c slate variety surcharge double (SG 243a with RPSL cert 1952), 1893 30c bright mauve & chestnut plate marginal imperf plate proof, 2r50 purple on red optd SPECIMEN,1899-1900 set optd SPECIMEN, and mint multiples, generally fair to fine condition.
