1857 (OC 28) cover to Demerara endorsed ‘per West India Mail’, bearing a strike of the "Southend" type V Scots local handstamp and later overlapped by 1857 wing margin 6d deep lilac applied at Campbeltown and tied by its ‘65’ barred numeral, backstamped by Campbeltown double arc ds for OC 28, London cds for OC 30, and Demarara double arc ds for NO 25. Also offered with additional cover to Shetland franked by 1854-61 1d red and tied by Campbeltown ‘65’ barred numeral with backstamps including “Southend” Scots local. The former with light peripheral tones, still a fascinating and rare cover. Rarity "F". RPS cert (1983), SG 69.
